Honesty Box

When we get a number wrong, we say so here.

Every numerical claim we publish on Kepie Watch is captured into an internal audit log at the moment we render it — the SQL that produced it, the sources we cite, the value we showed. When we later find a number was wrong, we publish the correction here. We do not silently edit the original page. Instead, the staple or curiosity page gets a correction notice above the original number, the next email digest opens with the correction, and the audit log records both the original value and the corrected one with the reason.

Issue 001 was the first issue — no corrections yet. When we ship one, it appears here, at the top of the next email digest, and as a correction notice on the original page where the number lived.
